The Boonville Area Chamber of Commerce was created in 1907 to lead the effort in advancing commerce and the quality of life in Boonville and the region. The Chamber has a responsibility to our members and our community to accomplish our activities with competence and integrity while sustaining a positive atmosphere for economic growth in our service region.
River and railroad trade and Santa Fe Trail activities were early economic forces to our area. Tourism related activity, agriculture, light and large-scale manufacturing contribute to today’s economy.
Boonville is conveniently located between Kansas City and St Louis on Interstate 70. It is the commercial and governmental center for Cooper County and offers comfortable, convenient living with easy access to regional opportunities.
Kansas City, home to the Royals and Chiefs, is 100 miles west and St Louis, home to the Cardinals, Rams and Blues, is 140 miles east of Boonville. The University of Missouri, in Columbia, is 25 miles away. Our state capital in Jefferson City is 50 miles from Boonville and Sedalia, home of our state fair, is 45 miles. Springfield is 160 miles and Joplin is 219 miles southwest of Boonville.
