The Boonville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Market Nights is held on Thursdays in September. It is a business expo in a non-traditional setting. Market Nights is a renewed version of Festival of Lights.
This event is an opportunity to promote a business or organization in a fun and festive atmosphere. There is live entertainment downtown, specials for adults, and much more.
If you want to showcase your business, demonstrate your products, or raise money for your organization, the Market Nights is a great opportunity for you. You can take part in the festival both weeks or choose the week that you want to participate.
Dates: Thursdays in September: September 13th, 20th 2018. There are no rain dates.
Reservations for booth space and payment of booth fees must be received by the Monday prior to each Thursday or event night. The booth fee is $15 per night for Chamber members and $20 per night for non-Chamber members. Reservations are on a “first come/best spots” basis. We will assign booths for each night beginning at Main and Spring, spreading out north and south. If you have a specific place you’d like to be, please make that request—but there are no guarantees.
Booth Size: Each booth space is 24’ x 7’. Booths will be placed in parking places along Main St. and all booths must face the sidewalk. For everyone’s safety, booths must not exceed 7’ wide. If more than 24’ length is required, an additional space may be purchased.
Set up time will be from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. All booths must open at 5:30 p.m. and must remain open until 8:00 p.m.
Limited electricity will be available in some locations. Please be sure to note if you require electricity. If you require more than 1 outlet, you will be responsible for providing a generator. Propane cookers or generators are encouraged. You must provide your own tables, chairs, etc. If you have any special needs, make sure we are aware and have made acceptable arrangements in writing on your application.
Food Handling Safety Certification: The City of Boonville has a food handling training mandate for temporary food establishments. Food vendors may be inspected by Cooper County Public Health and must have documented proof that they meet certification requirements. For information, visit www.coopercountypublichealth.com or call CCPH at 660-882-2626.
Note: These events are planned to be family-oriented. Please use discretion when selecting items and themes for your booth. All participants are required to record and pay any applicable sales tax.
