Character – How We Play

The Boonville Area Chamber of Commerce serves as a central point to our region where visitors gain their first impression of our hospitality and soundness of our community. We will introduce you to our way of life, to the rich history of our community, and to the beauty of our area.

Boonville and the Boonslick Region is an ideal destination for your next day trip, weekend get-a-way, family get-together, group tour, or small business meeting. Boonville is located on the Missouri River with over 400 building and sites on the National Register of Historic Places. The Lewis and Clark Expedition, the development of the Santa Fe Trail and the Civil War were significant events influential in the progress of our area.

The region offers scenic views, aquatic center, golf course, sport shooting, casino, barn quilts, wineries, athletic fields, parks, farmers market, unique shops and restaurants, sport and recreational facilities, plantations, Budweiser Clydesdale breeding farm, historic jail & hanging barn, burial mound, museums and interpretive sites, national historic trails and so much more. Throughout the year an array of cultural events– plays, concerts, theatre, music jams and festivals, art workshops, wine walks—provide educational and leisurely activities for our area.

Boonville and the surrounding region provide more attractions than the average visitor can see in a single day. Lodging accommodations include over 450 rooms within hotels, motels, and bed and breakfast choices. RV parking is available at several sites and a near-by campground with restroom/shower facilities can accommodate both tents and RVs.

A short drive from Boonville leads you to neighboring communities of Pilot Grove, Rocheport, Blackwater and Arrow Rock–all with plentiful history and their own characteristics and charm.
