Boonville Area Chamber of Commerce Board Member Nomination Process:

In accordance with Article III, Section 4, of the Boonville Area Chamber of Commerce By-Laws, the Board of Directors’ nomination process is now being done electronically. All eligible member businesses in good standing and a maximum of two representatives per eligible business will be posted on the Chamber’s website. To be a member business in good standing, your 2018 dues must be current and your Membership Status and Membership Type must be Active. Courtesy, Second Business and Trade Memberships are not eligible for consideration.

The following Board Members are eligible for nomination to another two-year term: Robin Billings, Tawny Brown, Curtis Carter, Susie Childs, Georgia Esser, Laura Gramlich, Tim Litteken, and Holly Simpson.

The following Board Members’ terms of office have not been completed and are ineligible for nomination: Edward Lang, Ginnifer O’Keefe, Hannah Painter, Josh Snoddy, Chris St. Romaine, Jennifer Wesselman, Kyle Weymuth, and Vickie Zeller. Their names do not appear on the listing.

How The Nomination Process Works:

To begin the process, please log onto the Chamber’s website at http://boonvillemochamber.com. Then click on Extras located on the upper righthand side of the header, and select Board Nominations from the Extras drop down menu.

To begin, please fill in the required spaces with your first and last names, email address and company name. Then, scroll through the list of eligible nominees and make your selections by clicking in the box which precedes the business and representative’s name of your choice. Please select only one nominee from any one business and make sure you have checked eight boxes total. Selecting too few or too many will invalidate your electronic ballot. Once that’s completed, scroll to the bottom of the listing and click on the Submit button. The deadline for receipt of nominations is close of business October 12, 2018.

That’s it – no stamp, no envelope, almost no trouble at all.

What Happens Next:

The sixteen nominees who receive the greatest number of votes, and who agree to serve, will appear on the official ballot which will be mailed to the Chamber membership no later than October 26, 2018. Detailed instructions and the voting deadline will accompany the ballot. You can mail, fax, email or drop completed ballots at the Chamber. If the Chamber Office is closed, please use the mail slot located on the northern most door of the Depot (nearest the caboose).

Besides saving money, the Chamber hopes this process makes nominations easier for its members. If you have suggestions for improvements, please let the Chamber know. This process was used for the 2017 nomination process and seems to have worked well. This method also increased the number of Chamber members who engaged in the nominations process. The process may still require some modifications so please share your thoughts.
